- Lake Garda, Italy
(It is the country's largest lake - Lake Garda here in north-eastern Italy is so big it looks like it is right beside the Mediterranean Sea. It took us an easy 2hr to get here by train from Venice. We had intended to cross the full length of this lake - all 51km - but the cold during this winter period meant all the ferry schedule was cancelled, except one. But we saw one of the most gorgeous sunsets ever here - see video below)
