1001 Places/Experiences to See or Savour #338 - Blue-footed Boobies, North Seymour Island, Galapagos

1001 Places/Experiences to See or Savour After Remission #338

- Blue-footed Boobies, North Seymour Island, Galapagos

(One of the big highlights of the Galapagos has to be the uniquely loveable blue-footed boobies here, with shoes that would make even Jimmy Choo envious. And they were flying all over North Seymour Island, together with the red-breasted frigate birds - see both videos below. Both birds brought out their weird but wonderful mating moves when we were there, making our time here so rewarding. The raw wilderness here was manifested by yellow iguanas munching on the cactus plant, with one swinging on a tree, sealions sunbathing, and by a dead sealion carcass along our path. This island rounded out our Galapagos trip so beautifully - one simply can't see these creatures together like this anywhere else on earth)
