(We chose to spend 3 nights in Bergen, rather than Oslo, and we made the right choice. What a stunning city Bergen is - with a harbour front to die for! Those wooden houses in Bryggen - wow. And once you are up at Mt Floyen via their furnicular, the view is simply awesome. And this time, we sat down by the Fish Market for our well-deserved cod fish and Norwegian garlic shrimps - both cooked to perfection)
(Came across this gem of a breakfast treat here at HCMC's Ben Thanh Market - Banh Beo Hue - a flour cake with fried shrimps and chilli. What a find, including a new noodle shop too with yummy springrolls..and on the last day of our short escape here too)
(The Korean cuisine gave us plenty of smiles during this trip. Apart from the must-have Korean Ginseng Chicken, the 8-flavoured pork bulgogi took the top prize for us. They were deliciously grilled on the hotplate, served with a tasty seafood broth - very nice)
(We ate and ate, like hungry caterpillars here - and why not? We must have had some of the most delicious Italian pasta ever. Here at Osteria Calle 21 and Trattoria alla Rivetta near the Bridge of Sighs, we had our seafood pasta, squid-ink pasta, grilled vegetables and tiramisu like the world was going to collapse tomorrow. Rivetta was kinda unique - all the waiters must have been well over 70yrs old - but they moved like gazzelles!)
(Dinner for 2 by the sea? On the beach? And why not? We had the most romantic dinner ever here at Pearl Sands Resort. The sea was calm, and with a magnificent setting sunset, it became a whole experience! The chef served us a delicious seafood platter to enhance our experience. Up above, the Milky Way galaxy was visible. What a gorgeous way to have a dinner with your loved one!)
