(The flight via Doha was long, the overnight stay in Milan short, the morning train was typical Italian-comfy, but what awaited us at this first village of Cinque Terre called Monterosso was worth it all. Monterosso was small, quaint and felt welcoming. Being the day after Xmas Day, it was quiet but once we checked into our 6-night stay at this cute B&B called Antica Ancora, we were excited to see what Monterosso could offer us. Of the 5 villages in Cinque Terre, Monterosso is the biggest and gave us more choices in accommodation. True enough, Fabio upgraded us to his 'favourite' room of 3. We ensured we got our true Italian seafood dinner here. This is another beautiful part of Italy..fresh seaside air - the mind just relaxes immediately, nice!)
