(The views of this Dochula Pass are simply heavenly. At 3000m high on the way to Punakha, 30km from Thimphu, the low clouds catch this impressive monument of 108 stupas, changing the scenery with every passing second. Built in 2003 to honour the Bhutanese soldiers who fought Indian insurgents, the unique stupas really stand out. Is this what Heaven will look like. when one knocks on its door?
