- Chamonix Mont Blanc, French Alps
(Picture postcard perfect! This little town of Chamonix, right at the base of the French Alps, looks charming from every angle. Surrounded by snow-covered mountains on both sides, we checked into our hotel, Vallee Blanche, which turned out to be an old wind-mill turned into a cozy hotel, just 5-mins walk from the train station. After 26hours in the air and on the trains, non-stop, we simply lay our luggage down and slept..for 10hours! What a great start to our 2nd Paris + French region holiday, all booked online)
