1001 Places/Experiences to See or Savour #473 - Siem Reap, Cambodia

1001 Places/Experiences to See or Savour After Remission #473

- Siem Reap, Cambodia

(We are at the gateway into the Angkor region, Siem Reap. And what a pleasant surprise indeed to be met with the coolest transport at the airport to the hotel, the ubiquitous tuk-tuk, siem reap style - better equipped and more comfy than the Bangkok version. And the town here is so cheap - fried insects for a dollar, beer for 50cents and wait, did I see foot-massage for 1 USD for 30min? Okay, I am in - we had 3 massages in all the 3 nights we were there! What a real treat, to be able to relax and chill in such 'abundance'. We stayed next to the popular Pub Street this time - so convenient for food options, if you can sleep through the 'live' bands playing till 4am. We slept like logs..)
