- Phakding to Namche Bazaar trek, Day2
(This part of the EBC trek promises to one of the most rewarding in terms of great new vistas, and sure enough, it did not disappoint. The holy mountain of Thamserku at 6623m hovered over us most of the way. But the dual suspension bridges of Tenzing-Hillary stole the show. Hovering high over the milky river of Dudh Koshi filled with rapids, it took some real effort to get up to it. The view was fantastic at the top. But soon, reality bites - it would be another 4hours before we reached the oasis of Namche Bazaar, simply far too long and tough for us - all of 8hours in total. We were pumped out, arriving in the midst of persistent rain - soggy, wet and a little crestfallen)
