- Namche Bazaar @ 3440m, acclimatization day, Day3
(Rest day at Namche Bazaar? Not if rest means a 400m vertical climb to Everest View Hotel - a near 6hr to-fro hike. We had a nice cuppa tea at the hotel, waiting for the clouds to clear so that we can have our first glimpse of Everest, but it was in vain. By the time we got back in heavy rain, we were so happy to find the famed Namche apple-pie at Everest Bakery. The 360degree view of Namche at the top made the climb worthwhile. We were relieved to get our hot shower at U$4, Wi-Fi at U$6 and a roll of poo-paper for U$2 - surely the most expensive toilet-roll in the world - we had to laugh about it)
