- Durbar Square, Kathmandu, Nepal
(This former royal palace ground, Durbar Square, dates back nearly 1000 years old. Hindu temples here are outstandingly preserved. But the scars of the massive 2015 earthquake remain, with many buildings still under repair. On a sunny day like today, the square was peaceful, but back in April 2105, it must have been a terrifying site)
