- Grand Canal, Venice
(Venice - aaahh yes! We are back to this wonderful watery city - just as beautiful as we remembered it. But this time, for a deep-dive because we have 6 nights here. And what represents Venice more iconically than its Grand Canal - that S-shaped waterway that cuts this city in 2. Of the 4 bridges that cross this 16ft-deep canal, surely the Rialto Bridge has to be the most beautiful. Can you believe it - built in 1591, and standing majestically as it was nearly 500 years ago? From our hotel room looking down at the small canals and gondolas here, I think we can live here forever..)
