- Voi Safari Camp, Voi, Kenya
(It took us a whole night + day to get here - but boy, this is worth it. The Voi Safari Camp here, some 5hrs drive south of Nairobi, gave us big smiles after a tough long flight via Addis Ababa, missing our connecting flight to Nairobi as a result. But like most travel experiences todate, the tougher the journey, the bigger the reward at the destination. With a waterhole just 20m away from its dining hall, wild elephants gathered here for their daily mudbaths, followed by zebras and smaller creatures. It is a thrill, having breakfast with these mighty beasts just metres away. Our 12day Kenya Wildlife holiday is now off and running..)
