- Piazza Navona, Rome
(Piazzas are everywhere in Rome, but Piazza Navona became our neighbour for 4 days, giving us views of its beautiful fountain - this one was in one of the episodes of "Everybody Loves Raymond" - called the Fountain of Four Rivers. It was built as early as 1651 by Bernini, the famous Italian sculptor. It's in a quieter corner of Rome but New Year festivities bring cheer to many children who came to the nearby playground)
