- Odori Park, Sapporo TV Tower, Sapporo
(The Odori Park here is where the Snow Festival is held each year in early Feb. Seeing it from atop the Sapporo TV Tower at 147m gave us a view of what it would have been like then. This gives us another reason to return. The view also showed the ski-resort at the top of the mountain, reminding us of Sapporo's hosting of the Winter Olympics back in 1972, and it was just the host for the 2017 Asian Winter Games just 2 months ago)
