- Rainforest Café, Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe
(The walk we did at Victoria Falls ended with a quick lunch at the Rainforest Café, just before the exit. But what an eye-opening meal we had, with their ginger sweet potato soup an outstanding choice. It was simple, but the flavours were a real kick, perhaps heightened by the cool and wet body, after the 2 walks we did through the falls. The sounds and sights at and around this small town were both new and somewhat unnerving to us, being in the midst of so many locals here, especially during our 15min walk to the town supermarket from our hotel. But it must just be the unfamiliarity of it all because all whom we had interacted, from the waitresses, to the tour guides and to the hotel staff, we nothing but warm and welcoming)
