(In the middle of all these natural beauties that we experienced along the south coast of Iceland over the 3-day tour, did we forget to mention its capital, Reykjavik? It seemed like the city is totally at odds with all things natural here - the waterfalls, glaciers and geysers. But Reykjavik is charming too. Its lake area near the harbour is serene - exactly at the spot where the most recent season of The Amazing Race stopped at. What became a highlight for us is the hotdog stand in the middle of the city, with a long queue snaking out from it. The 20min wait in -2C temperature was well worth it - the fragrant sauce they used, and oh, those fried onions on top - yes, well worth it!)
